| Masters
Diving in Ontario |
| In 2004, Masters
level of adult diving competitions were introduced in Ontario. They have
continued ever since.
The events are exhibition
and will not count toward team points in competitions. The intention is
to promote the sport at the adult level.
Adult diving promotes fun
and fitness, as well as expanding the circle of interest in our sport.
Those new to the sport and veterans alike are encouraged to participate
in this friendly competition.

| Registration
as an Ontario Master Diver |
|
Before
entering a competition, all divers must be registered with Dive Ontario.
Go to the
Dive Ontario home page at www.diveontario.com,
fill in the Registration Form, and mail it into Dive Ontario with the appropriate
fee as per the instructions on the form.

Masters Competitions |
|
Participating
meets will hold a men
and women’s masters event at the end of each competition day.
Sometimes the masters events will run consecutively at the end of one
competition day.
Practices
for the Master divers will be restricted to just before the event.
The
masters will all dive together (men and women, over and under 40)
depending on number of divers registered.

Ontario uses the Masters Modified FINA rules.
There
are 2 Masters age groups: 19 to 39, & 40 and over.
