5 CTDC Divers have Top 5 Finishes at the Nepean Ottawa Invitational
At the 2003 Nepean Ottawa Invitational, 4 CTDC divers finished with Top 5 finishes. Don Holmes finished 3rd in the Men's Open 1 Metre. Hamish Kippen finished first in the Boys A 1 Metre, Men's Open 1 Metre, Boys A 3 Metre and Men's Open 3 Metre. Shane MacDonald finished 4th in the Boys B 1 Metre, and Jade Poole finished 5th in the Girls A Platform. Finally, Kristy Wanner finished 4th in the Women's Open 3 Metre.

5 CTDC divers qualified for the 2004 Tier I Provincial Championships at the 2003 Nepean Ottawa Invitational: Hamish Kippen in the Boys A and Men's Open 1 Metre and 3 Metre events; Jade Poole in the Girls A 1 Metre and Platform; Jami Poole in the Girls A 1 Metre and Platform, and Women's Open 1 Metre; Gabrielle Smith in the Girls B and Women's Open 1 Metre; and finally Kristy Wanner in the Women's Open 3 Metre.

Hamish Kippen qualifies for Junior and Senior National Championships
CTDC's Hamish Kippen qualified for both the 2004 Junior and Senior National Championships at the 2003 Nepean Ottawa Invitational. Hamish qualified for the Junior Nationals in the Boys A 1 Metre and 3 Metre events, and the Senior Nationals in the Men's Open 1 Metre and 3 Metre events.

Kippen and Wilson qualify for Nationals at Polar Bear Classic
At the 2004 Polar Bear Classic, Hamish Kippen qualified for the Junior Nationals in the1 Metre and 3 Metre events. Hamish now has the required two qualifying scores in both events.
Erica Wilson qualified for the both the Junior and Senior Nationals in the Platform event.

9 CTDC Divers have Top 3 Finishes at Snowball Classic
At the 2004 Snowball Classic diving meet in Scarborough Ontario, 10 CTDC divers placed in the Top 3. Amanda Clark, Lindsay Kerdman, Eve Kobayashi, Shane MacDonald, James Markes, Jade Poole, and Gabrielle Smith all finished in First Place. Siobhan Holladay and Jami Poole finished in Second Place. All were competing in the 1 Metre event.

4 more CTDC Divers Qualify for the Tier I Provincials
Amanda Clark, Shane MacDonald, James Markes and Gabrielle Smith all qualified for the Tier I Provincial Championships at the 2004 Snowball Classic. Each qualified in the 1 Metre event.

CTDC Divers Compete at the Ontario Winter Games
Shane MacDonald and Rachelle Zuccaro both competed at the 2004 Ontario Winter Games. Shane came in 7th in the Junior Men's 1 Metre event, and Rachelle came in 2nd in both the 1 Metre and 3 Metre Senior Women's events.

CTDC Divers Compete at the Winter Senior Nationals
4 CTDC Divers competed at the 2004 Winter Senior National Championships. Hamish Kippen placed 7th in the 1 Metre Finals, and 12th in the 3 Metre Finals. Daniel Marentic finished 16th in the 1 Metre Prelims and 17th in the 3 Metre Semi-Finals. Kristy Wanner placed 8th in the 1 Metre Finals, and 12th in the 3 Metre Finals. Erica Wilson finished 36th in the 3 Metre Prelims, and 22nd in the Platform Prelims.

10 Top 5 Finishes for CTDC Divers at Forest City Invitational
5 CTDC divers finished with Top 5 scores at the 2004 Forest City Invitational. Michael Blumer finished 4th and 3rd in the Boys B and Men's Open 1 Metre. Shane MacDonald finished 3rd in the Boys C 1 Metre. Dan Marentic finished 1st in the Men's Open 3 Metre. James Markes finished 1st and 3rd in the Boys A 1 Metre and 3 Metre events, and 2nd in both the Men's Open 1 Metre and 3 Metre. Finally Joel Madden finished 1st in the both the Masters' 1 Metre and 3 Metre events.

CTDC Divers qualify for Nationals and Provincials at Forest City.
At the 2004 Forest City Invitational, 4 CTDC divers qualified for the 2004 National and Provincial Championships. Dan Marentic qualified for the Senior Nationals in the 3 Metre, while James Markes had a Junior National qualifying score in the 1 Metre. For the Ontario Tier 1 Provincials, the following divers qualified: Michael Blumer (1 Metre), Shane MacDonald (1 Meter), Dan Marentic (3 Metre), and James Markes (1 and 3 Metres).

Kristy Wanner Competes at the Italian Grand Prix
Kristy Wanner competed at the 2004 FINA Italian Grand Prix in Rome Italy. She finished 20th in the Women's Senior 3 Metre Preliminaries.

3 CTDC Divers Meet Junior National Standards at JDI
3 CTDC divers met the Junior National qualifying standards, at the 2004 John Dickinson Invitational in Etobicoke, in May. Michael Blumer, Shane MacDonald, and James Markes, all met the standard in the 1 Metre event. James now has the 2 necessary qualifying scores.
In other notable news Hamish Kippen came in 1st place in all four events he competed in (Boys A and Men's Open 1 Metre, Boys A and Men's Open 3 Metre). Dan Marentic came in second in the Men's Open 1 Metre.

Hamish Kippen & Kristy Wanner Compete at Olympic Trials
Central Toronto divers Hamish Kippen and Kristy Wanner competed at the 2004 Olympic Games Trials, held June 4 - 6, in Winnipeg Manitoba. Hamish finished 9th and 10th in the 3 Metre Preliminaries and Semi-Finals. Kristy finished 8th, 11th and 11th in the 3 Metre Preliminaries, Semi-Finals and Finals respectively.

CTDC has Five Top 5 Finishes at Tier II Provincials
CTDC had five of it's divers finish with Top 5 scores at the Tier II Provincial Championships, held June 12 - 13, in Scarborough. Competing in the Girls A 1 Metre event, Siobhan Holladay finished first, Lindsay Kerdman was second, and Angie King was fifth. Competing in the Girls B 1 Metre event, Caroline Spaner was second. Finally, in the Girls C 1 Metre event, Eve Kobeoshi was second.

Marentic and Wanner win Trophies at Tier I Provincials
Dan Marentic and Kristy Wanner both won trophies at the Tier I Provincial Championships, in London Ontario, June 25th to 27th. Dan was named Top Male Open diver, and Kristy was the Top Female Open diver. Dan finished first and third in the 1 Metre and 3 Metre events respectively. Kristy finished first in both events.
Other significant results are: Shane MacDonald fourth in Boys C 1 Metre; James Markes second in Boys A 3 Metre, and fifth in both the Boys A and Open 1 Metre; Jade Poole fifth in the Girls A Platform; Jami Poole fourth in the Girls A Platform; Gabrielle Smith fifth in the Girls B 1 Metre.
Overall CTDC finished fifth with 187 team points.

3 CTDC Divers compete at Speedo Junior Nationals
Three CTDC divers competed at the 2004 Speedo Junior National Championships, in Victoria British Columbia, July 22nd to 25th. Hamish Kippen came in third in the Boys A 1 Metre, and second in the Boys A 3 Metre. Shane MacDonald competed in the Boys C 1 Metre Prelims, placing 26th. Finally, James Markes competed in the Boys A 1 Metre and 3 Metre Prelims, placing 16th and 15th respectively.

Hamish Kippen named to National Junior Team
CTDC's Hamish Kippen was named to the 2004 Canadian National Junior Team. At the recent Speedo Junior National Championships, Hamish came in third in the Boys A 1 Metre event, and second in the Boys A 3 Metre. Group A covers ages 16 to 18. Hamish will now compete at the FINA World Junior Championships being held in Belem, Brazil, October 26 to 30, 2004.

Hamish Kippen competes at the FINA World Junior Championships
CTDC's Hamish Kippen competed at the FINA World Junior Diving Championships, held in Belem-Para Brazil, October 26 -30, 2004. Hamish finished 22nd in the Boys A 1 Metre Preliminaries, and 23rd in the Boys A 3 Metre Preliminaries.
